Dr. Smith Letter to ABE Parents
    April 05, 2019
    Dear Parents/Guardians,

The purpose of this letter is to share the status of the upcoming renovations this summer at Amy Beverland Elementary. Construction will start immediately following the close of the school year, making it an exciting time for the school. We want our families fully informed about the project and subsequent renovations that will occur.

Questions specific to school entry and exit points have come to my attention, and I can assure you that our project has considered all of the options available to us at this time. Within the construction plan, there will be a new driveway and traffic configuration from Fox Road where a new stoplight will be installed. At this time, there is no plan for a second entry point on to the property from the north of the school; however, we continue to work with both the city and adjacent homeowners association on future considerations.

The complete design development for the school is available here. This includes the site and floor plan, as well as renderings of the main entrance, southeast addition, and media center, complete with interior color concepts.

Be proud of the outstanding facility coming to an already outstanding school. It is a great time to be an Amy Beverland Star! If you have specific questions, please contact Mr. Pennington or our Chief of Operations, Mr. Rodger Smith.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Shawn A. Smith
    Superintendent of Schools
