Amy Beverland Family Association
The ABFA is teachers, parents and staff getting together to discuss, plan, and implement. Our goal is to work together to make Amy Beverland the best learning environment for our children that it can possibly be. You are already a member...no dues, no obligations!
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Amy Beverland Media Center. Free babysitting is always provided for children ages 3 and up. The meetings will end by 8:00 p.m. so that the children can get home to bed.
During our meetings, our principal, Mrs. Jordan, gives us the latest scoop on the happenings at Amy Beverland and in the school district. We discuss current ABFA activities that are pertinent to parents and teachers. Sometimes a speaker is scheduled to talk about a specific topic. Other meetings are an open forum where we share ideas, concerns, and excitements about our school.
Research studies have shown time and time again that when parents are involved in their child's education, the child is more successful in school. The ABFA is a great way to become involved and knowledgeable about what is happening at your child's school. It is also a forum for you to share ideas, express concerns and learn the latest about what is new in education at Amy Beverland and within Lawrence Township. Several teachers and staff members attend the meetings so that you can speak directly with those who educate your children. Plus, you get to meet other parents who share your ideas and goals...you can make friends and it's fun!
If you would like to learn more about ABFA or how you can get involved, please contact the school or one of the current Board members (below). Miss a meeting? Sign up for our ABFA Listserve and have the minutes e-mailed to you or look at past meeting minutes.
